Plot: The Sharmas are both surgeons in New York. Ravi wants to go back to India. His wife wants to remain in New York to do research towards a cure for leukemia, the cancer that killed her brother. Ravi is named Head of Surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital in Bombay. They divorce. In India, Ravi has a daughter, Khushpu. When Khuspuis twelve, she feels sick. A blood test reveals that she has leukemia.
